Start with the sources
you can verify.
Code and saved knowledge are the current starting point. Additional company systems require a selected integration, source-access rules, and deployment qualification. Plan the trial around that boundary.
Codebases
Registered repositories, symbols, and source references.
Trial starting pointSaved knowledge
Findings, decisions, and session handoffs with their source context.
Trial starting pointDocuments & knowledge bases
Scope the systems, content, and access rules your team needs.
Integration to confirmChat & mail
Planned source categories; selected integrations require qualification.
Integration to confirmBusiness systems
Agree on the APIs, data boundaries, and workflows to evaluate.
Integration to confirmPlanned or requested integrations are not available connectors. No universal Slack, mail, document, or business-system support is implied by this guide.
Four questions for
a useful source trial.
- What should be indexed?
- Choose a small repository and knowledge set that contains answers to real questions. Include difficult examples and questions that should return no answer.
- Who should see it?
- Name the people and agents in scope. Define source access and sharing rules, including an unauthorized user whose searches should reveal nothing.
- How does it change?
- Test updates, revoked access, and deleted content. Agree on freshness expectations and inspect what remains retrievable after a change.
- What makes a result useful?
- Check the relevant source, its references, and the saved reasoning. Measure quality and latency on the same questions before and during your trial.
